I’m an American, he’s a Brazilian, and this is a blog to document our travels and transcontinental relationship!
I am in my 20s and right now I live in Pittsburgh PA with two cats. Right now Roberto (that’s the Brazilian!) and I are living apart while we navigate the US Immigration process. To answer the “when are you getting married?” question, as soon as the government lets us.
I’ve got about 5 years in as an engineer in the nuclear industry. It can be fun at times and there are good travel opportunities, but my dream is to have more of my time for myself, doing something I love. I’m really not any good at math. But right now, the job is funding the investment accounts (I like to say that instead of “pays the bills” cause I would have quit my job long ago if it only paid for my internet and cell phone!) and keeping the government satisfied that I can support Roberto once they decide to let him come back.
What else? I enjoy photography and I’m learning how to use the features on my DSLR. I am very interested in personal finance and investments, as well as entrepreneur-ship and passive income. I love yoga and I am hoping to develop my practice into something more spiritual. And, of course, I love all things travel!
